It's Dear Diary Week,
I remember when I was little and not so little, my grandmother was my safe place to fall, the one person I could take everything too. She has returned home now and while I still communcate with her, I still wish she was here in physical form so I could hold her hand while we chat.
When I feel like this, I write. This week it is your turn to write. You can write to a love one you miss, a friend far away, the person right beside you or simply dear diary. It is up to you, but sometimes the best person to write to is yourself.
You see, when our focus is out there, on what everyone else is doing wrong and how everything is making us feel, we can't really do anything about it. So, as you write this week, take the time to write about how you are feeling, what you have noticed about yourself, your reactions, you actions, your choices and your behaviours.
Notice yourself.
Observe yourself.
Write about yourself.
You will be surprised when you read it back at how interesting you really are. Take this time and do this for you. You really are worth it.
from my soul to yours
with love
Chris Shana
