I friend of mine, yes you know who you are, lived alone for a number of years and mentioned this to me one day. While she had beautiful friends, loving children and a very full and busy life, she sometimes just got "skin hungry".
Somehow I think it is a little more than "skin" deep though. I really good hug is not just about the skin. It is about the connection. Two bodies, Two souls coming together and sharing... a moment in time, sharing energies and sharing the space. A real hug, is priceless gift.
We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.

Hugs make us feel happier, healthier and more optimistic. They remind us that we are loved, loving and lovable and they are FREE.
So this week is Hug week. Go on, hug everyone.
Ok, I know not everyone is "into" hugging, so you may need to ask some people first. Or you could just send a mental hug, wrap them up in a big blanket of love and warmth and huggles.
Hug your partner, your kids, your friends, hug babies, dogs, cats, trees and anything else that will let you. And as you do allow the energies flow freely between you, allow yourself to give and to recieve. Just in case you missed that...
Allow yourself to give and recieve.
And have a huggily week.
from my soul to yours
with love
Chris Shana
