Morning Intention

Hello my Lovely,

It has been some time since I have been here. I have been lost in Facebook land, but now I am back. No, I have not given up on Facebook, I just have more to say, more to share and this feels a better platform to do that. So I hope you come along for the ride and enjoy the content.

I wanted to talk a little today about Morning Intention. It is something I have practiced for quite some time but I am not sure everyone is on board. Which one of the following are you?

Morning Intention can be lots of things. For some it is prayer, for some it is meditation and for some it is exercise and for some it only involves the morning news and a strong cup of coffee.

How you start your day is how you live your day. So if you are the one waking up saying good God it's morning, you may be struggling to get going, get positive and to start feeling good. Now I have to confess, I have never really been a morning person. I would have been fine if my day started at lunch time and ended at 1 am, but that has changed and is still changing for me. If this is you, that is okay, I am not going to tell you what time you should get up or go to bed for that matter, it the intention that it starts with that matters.

Regardless of the time you rise... let the first words that run through your mind, heart and mouth be... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Starting the day with the intention of gratitude is so very powerful.

I am blessed to be able to now give myself some time at the start of each day that is just for me. This is so important to me and was the reason I stayed up until 1 in the morning. However, that always put me last on the list, now I put me first. I start the day with me.

I use the first 30 - 40 minutes to move my body, still my mind and allow my creative energy to start flowing.
During this time I listen to wisdom. For me this is people I find inspirational, informative and educational. I may pick some of my favourite friends like Dr Wayne Dyer, Cheryl Richardson, Gabrielle Bernstein or I may choose a ted talk or something someone has shared with me. Again, this is a way to distract my brain from the fact that my body is exercising.
I will meditate, and allow myself to be silent, listening to my inner guidance and Divine wisdom. Then offer my intention for the day ahead.
I also journal, allowing words, pictures and whatever else to flow onto the page before me.

How do you start your day?
Have you even thought about it?
Do you do something to honour yourself first?
Do you need that caffeine hit to even get moving?

So now you know how I spend my morning, I want to talk more about the intention. I have had a few people saying, "How do you do it?", "What do you say?", etc. Well it is easy and the words just need to be yours. I have popped below some of the things I say as I speak to the Universe/God/Great Spirit/Higher Self, whatever it is you want to talk to. My suggestion is you make it all about you, about how you would like to feel that day, what you would like to draw to you that day and what magic you can create that day. Your words, your feelings, your intentions.

My intention for today is to walk in the light.
I leave behind any traces of darkness and move forward with ease and grace.
The path ahead of me is blessed and is so clear, bright and sparkly I can't possibly miss it.
I take the light with me today and it touches each soul that I encounter, leaving them feel blessed and loved.
Today I am guided as to where to go, what to say and to whom. I open my mind and my heart and fill them both with light.
Today I am the best version of myself.
Only good lies before me.
I am blessed.

Thanks again for being here, back at my blog, I will be back more regularly so please pop over and check things out.

Be Blessed
